Hydra-Cell pumps a 'cost-effective alternative'
Michael Smith Engineers has announced that Hydra-Cell pumps are a cost-effective alternative to traditional metering pumps.
Small pump package delivers big performance
The Micropump innovative I-Drive electromagnetic drive has been developed to meet the increasing demands from OEM engineers and machine builders who require high performance from less space
Vane pumps cope with tough applications
Where reliability and durability are high on the list, when choosing a pump for transferring corrosive or thin liquids at higher pressures, Viking LVP stainless steel vane pumps, are an ideal choice
The manufacturer, Wanner Pumps, claim that Hydra-Cell pumps are 'simply built to last', operating with minimal stress, and this is achieved thanks to some unique design features.
The pump drive shaft is rigidly held in the pump housing by a large tapered roller bearing which is immersed in a lubricating oil bath and a fixed angle cam translates rotary motion into linear motion to the hydraulic cells, which displace the diaphragms via pressurised oil.
This results in hydraulically balanced diaphragms, so stress is eliminated.
Hydra-Cell pumps cover a wide range of flow rates from 0.4 lit/min up to 128 lit/min and pressures up to 172 bar and provide repeatable and accurate output, so they are ideal for metering and dosing applications.
To meet specific customer requirements and applications Hydra-Cell offer the facility of modified pump components along with custom pump head or body casings.
Also, to either simplify installation or increase performance a wide range of accessories are available including pump and motor adapters, oil cooler and filter systems, oil level monitors and reservoirs, couplings and guards, pump and motor baseplates, speciality tools, parts and hose connectors.
Hydra-Cell pumps can handle a wide spectrum of industrial and commercial fluids across applications including; food processing CIP, machine tool cooling, reverse osmosis and separation, spray drying and abrasives, paper mill applications and oil production and refining.
