Schneider Electric's new Transparent Building Integrated Systems (T-BIS) offer will demonstrate the energy saving capabilities of intelligent buildings at Nemex 2005

Nemex 2005 will take place from 24 - 26 May, at the NEC in Birmingham Schneider Electric's new Transparent Building Integrated Systems (T-BIS) offer, to be seen on Stand L30, will demonstrate the energy saving capabilities of intelligent buildings at Nemex

A team of professionals will make clear how available technologies, such as effective control and energy management, can lead to substantial financial savings.

Advanced utility metering solutions from T-BIS result in an average reduction of 5% on utility bills across a diverse range of buildings.

Further savings, in the region of 2-5%, can be achieved by better equipment utilisation and as much as a 10% saving can be reached by improving systems reliability.

"In light of the forthcoming EU Directive, Energy Performance of Buildings, which will force organisations to improve the energy efficiency of their buildings, occupants must re-assess their approach to consumption," argues Richard Hipkiss, spokesperson of T-BIS.

"Through minimal investment and without penalty or compromise of comfort, savings can be made.

Occupants must now look to implement energy management solutions alongside building management systems, lighting control and other building functions." Incorporating the Schneider Electric brands, Clipsal Integrated Systems, Merlin Gerin and Telemecanique, T-BIS will expose the iceberg of potential energy savings that reach much further than reductions in utility bills.

"T-BIS champions a convergent approach to energy in buildings," concludes Hipkiss.
