Schneider Electric is celebrating raising over GBP30,000 for its chosen charity, the NSPCC, in a week of employee based fund-raising events

Schneider Electric is celebrating raising over GBP30,000 for its chosen charity, the NSPCC.

A cheque presentation was held on Tuesday May 24 in the main reception area of the Schneider Electric Telford site.

In addition to the usual barbecues, theme days and competitions, Schneider Electric money making ideas have also included company managers collecting 'tolls' from their staff using the car parking facilities, selling a calendar featuring employees faces on other people's bodies and staff recording a music CD for sale.

The main focus of the Schneider Electric fundraising drive was an annual, company-wide 'Luli Week' with the money raised by staff being matched by the Luli Foundation, which is part of Sustainable Development within Schneider Electric and operates from France.

Representatives of the staff, teams from Schneider Electric, who have helped raise the money over the last 12 months, attended the event, along with the NSPCC corporate partnerships account executive, Anna Standing.

"We're so grateful for everything that Schneider Electric has done for the NSPCC.

None of our work would be possible without the generosity of our supporters.

The GBP30,500 that Schneider Electric staff has raised is a fantastic achievement and will go a long way to help vulnerable children in the UK, and end cruelty to children" said Anna Standing.

"We are delighted that we have managed to raise such a substantial figure for such a worthy cause," enthused Sam Waters of Schneider Electric.
