"With lighting becoming one of the most widely used modern decor styling accessories, domestic contractors should be embracing the trend for style conscious modern living," explained Marc Gaunt from Clipsal, a brand of Schneider Electric.
"Such contractors should offer more than standard white plugs and switches, and instead offer stylish accessories that complement rather than detract from interior design".
On the other hand, 7 out of 10 contractors said they base their selection of wiring accessories on the safe and robust construction of the products.
"However, the two options can be reconciled and contractors can easily meet both their requirements and those of their customers.
