Website unravels 17th Edition wiring regulations
Schneider Electric has unveiled a new section of its website, devoted to explaining the new 17th Edition Regulations and all of the ramifications for electrical contractors, FMs and building engineers
GAMBICA, an independent organisation representing the UK Industrial Automation sector, devised the Service Classes Scheme to ensure that product suppliers deliver service to a standard, much in the same way that the products themselves must comply with quality and safety standards.
It allows users to make informed choices about which services would benefit them, the standard of service to ask for and clarity as to what level of service is actually being offered.
Schneider Electric applauds the Service Classes Scheme and is applying it to electrical distribution offers as well as for the automation arena it was intended.
Even though the services included with the purchase of Schneider Electric equipment exceeds the industry baseline standard set by GAMBICA, equipment users are still encouraged to consider additional services for a cost effective return in terms of increased plant uptime, throughput, energy saving etc.
The GAMBICA online service selection tool at www.serviceclasses.co.uk may be used to help identify and select the services of interest for a particular application.
Full information on this and on the Schneider Electric portfolio of cost effective services is available on the Schneider Electric website.
