Visitors to the Schneider stand (Stand W8) can meet representatives from Schneider Electric who will be on hand to discuss its complete offer and solutions into recycling, heavy construction and quarrying.
This includes control gear, energy efficient variable speed drives, automation and electrical distribution equipment that can also be used for new asphalt builds and existing asphalt upgrades and refurbishment.
Key products include Altivar 61 variable speed drives from Telemecanique, a brand of Schneider Electric, which offer the convenience of pre-programmed functions for a wide range of quarry applications, and which are available with ratings up to 630kW.
Variable speed drives, when applied to continuous duty applications such as fans, pumps and compressors, can save substantial amounts of electricity, reducing costs and at the same time improving plant operation.
Details of Modicon programmable controllers will be available that support Transparent Ready, the Schneider Electric open technology, which enables easy data interchange with external systems via standard web browsers.
Visitors can also learn more about Telemecanique TeSys Model U motor starters that combine versatility with safety and ease of maintenance and a full range of products for electrical distribution applications.
Hillhead is the exhibition to attend for all those in the quarrying, recycling and heavy construction industries, and is the world's largest working quarry show.
