Sensortechnics new pressure transducers Series PS9000 offer OEMs low-cost pressure measurement for aggressive and corrosive liquids and gases from 200 mbar
The very low power consumption of both versions makes the sensor eligible for battery-powered applications.
Demanding measurements can take advantage of extremely low hysteresis and repeatability error, and highly stable null and full-scale outputs.
Both its low price and the small package size allow OEMs to incorporate mass flow sensors for the first time into their application.
The AWM90000 sensors are well suited for medical applications like CPAP equipment, sleep apnea monitors, oxygen conservers and concentrators, respirators, ventilators, spirometers and anaesthesia delivery.
Industrial applications include filter control systems, fuel to air ratio sensing and spectroscopy equipment.
Important features of the new mass flow sensors AWM9000 are: Flow range of +/- 200 sccm with a pressure drop of only 0.49 mbar; Differential pressure version ranging +/- 5 mbar; Response time of only 1 ms typical; Low power consumption of 50 mW max; Very compact package design (only 30 x 28 x 13 mm); Hysteresis and repeatability error less than 0.35 percent of reading.
