Solartron introduces transducer controllers
The SI 3000 range of benchtop transducer controllers from Solartron Metrology provide a clear graphical display of single or dual-channel inputs.
The measurement resolution is user selectable to less than 0.1 micron.
The digital lever probe is housed in a cylindrical steel enclosure, which facilitates mounting in any attitude relative to the intended target.
Clamping can be performed through the use of an 8mm peg or industry standard dovetail mounting blocks, or directly into a 9.52mm mounting hole.
Given its digital output, the lever probe easily lends itself to connection to a PC, PLC or to a Solartron digital readout, and can coexist with a variety of other Solartron or non-Solartron sensors on a single network.
The probe is capable of reading rates of up to 3906 readings per second, which makes it suitable for dynamic measurement applications.
The probe is ideal for applications where the use of conventional, axial measuring probes is not possible.
It has found applications in a number of precision industries such as hard disk reader arm thickness measurements.
Another advantage of the Solartron lever probe is its low profile that allows several probes to be compacted into a small measurement volume.
