Spectra Displays announce WEEE
Compliance
Spectra Displays, a leader in electronic displays and display systems, announce WEEE Directive Compliance: they will treat LED display modules as being within the scope of the legislation
From 2007 all producers of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) were required to join a Producer Compliance Scheme (PCS) under the WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) Spectra Displays is pleased to announce compliance with this legislation, the aim of which is to minimise the impact of electrical and electronic goods on the environment, by increasing re-use and recycling and reducing the amount of WEEE going to landfill when comes to the end of its life (please see the DTI website for further information on UK legislation)

Spectra Displays would like to inform its UK customers that it is committed to supporting environmental issues by joining a PCS and registering as an electronic producer with the Environment Agency.
Although many of our fixed installations could be argued to fall outside the scope of the legislation, we will treat LED display modules as being in-scope so that proper recycling is funded by Spectra Displays.
