Gasket supply contract extended to 5 years

Associated British Foods have extended their supply contract with SPG for gaskets and sealing products across all the British Sugar refineries

At the end of 2005, SPG were awarded a contract to supply the full range of required gaskets and sealing products to Associated British Foods, with the main customers being the various British Sugar refineries.

A great deal of SPG time and effort was put into setting up the supply contract so that it ran smoothly: initially having to establish the operations and provide the level of supply that is required by this type of process plant.

SPG were soon established with both purchasing and engineering personnel alike and performed tasks such as Stores Surveys where we were able to bring added value to the business by supplying further items not initially included, and therefore helping reduce the supplier base.

Our success in servicing the contract has not gone unnoticed and we are delighted to announce that agreement has been reached to extend this contract until the end of 2010.

This has been achieved in no small part by the excellent relationships that have been established in all the refineries and we at SPG look forward to continuing to progress the on-going improvements in the supply process for many years.
