Some day all pumps will need replacing, even those that have been regularly serviced and maintained: an SPX scheme allows users to trade in their old pumps for a discount against the latest technology

There comes a time when all pumps need replacing, even those that have been regularly serviced and maintained.

Once it becomes uneconomical to carry on replacing worn parts, or performance is compromised, then replacement becomes the most cost-effective solution.

To assist companies using Bran + Luebbe and MPL pumps that may be approaching their life expectancy, SPX Process Equipment is introducing a scheme whereby users can trade in their old pumps for the latest technology at a reduction against the list price.

Furthermore, SPX PE will undertake the safe disposal of the old pump at no extra cost.

Most significantly, SPX PE is also offering this facility to non-SPX Bran + Luebbe pump users.

Launching this new initiative Steve Digby, the SPX Process Equipment Manager for Bran + Luebbe pumps in the UK said that as a result of its policy of offering all customers service contracts, the Company is able to identify when pump units may need replacement.

Working in conjunction with the customer, service engineers are able to provide advice as to the best course of action to take in terms of selecting the most appropriate technology.

"There are many processes incorporating pumps that would benefit from modern designs and technology," says Steve Digby.

"It is often the case that by using the latest designs the pump can improve the customer's operation through increased performance, higher accuracy, low spare parts consumption and lower maintenance." With this new replacement policy, SPX PE is enabling customers to access the latest Bran + Luebbe pump ranges without any cost penalties.

Of course the great attraction is that in certain instances, the cost of investing in the replacement pump can be less expensive than the cost of ongoing maintenance.
