A new addition to the SPX ProCam range of diaphragm pumps meets the requirements of the pharmaceutical, food, beverage and cosmetics industries for pumps suitable for hygienic applications

Responding to the requirements of the pharmaceutical, food, beverages and cosmetics industries for pumps suitable for hygienic applications, SPX Process Equipment has introduced a new addition to its ProCam range of diaphragm pumps With the Bran + Luebbe 'ProCam Sanitary' pump, all the components that come into contact with the pumped medium are manufactured from electrically polished SS316L

The surface finish of these components ranges from Ra 0.4 to Ra 0.8.

In addition, the PTFE double membranes and seals are FDA certified.

In developing this new pump, SPX PE has also addressed the needs of cleaning by employing valves and front covers which can be easily removed for thorough cleaning.

Announcing this new development, Steve Digby SPX PE Bran + Luebbe UK Sales Manager commented: "The food, beverage pharmaceuticals and cosmetics industries have been placing increasing demands on equipment for hygienic applications for several years.

Furthermore, they have placed greater emphasis on the needs for easy cleaning, ease of sterilisation and improved surface quality".

SPX PE is providing its Bran + Luebbe 'ProCam Sanitary' pump with clamp connections and diaphragm monitoring, using a pressure gauge or pressure switch, as standard fittings.

Depending on the customer requirement, the flow rate can be adjusted manually or electrically.

Suitable for ganging together for multiple media pumping applications, ProCam diaphragm pumps can be operated at pressures of up to 20 bar and provide flow rates of up to 3000l/hr.
