Multi-frequency metal detection system
The Genius Quattro metal detection technology, from S+S Inspection, uses four quartz stabilised field frequencies to provide reliable, fast and sensitive metal detection in a wide range of products
The new Genius Quattro metal detection technology, from S+S Inspection, uses four quartz stabilised field frequencies to provide reliable, fast metal detection in a wide range of products Using four frequencies, rather than the normal one or two, allows the system to monitor products with a variety of characteristics whilst achieving exceptionally low "false alarm" rates and installation in a much smaller metal-free zone

The Genius Quattro technology operates with the optimum number of frequencies, more frequencies will not improve sensitivity, combined with digital signal processing and precision detection coils.
The technology can be used with all types of detection and separation units, including belt, vacuum and pressure conveyors and free fall applications to provide optimum metal detection and quality assurance.
Signal outputs are provided to drive most types of product rejection/separation systems.

The system has a "self-learn" capability, which automatically compensates for variations in product characteristic, salt, moisture content, and packaging, to minimise false alarms, further enhanced by product tracking.
Product tracking automatically adjusts product compensation on the fly to accommodate small changes in product characteristics due to variations in recipe, moisture levels and temperature.
When processing frozen foods, product tracking is especially valuable as it will eliminate excessive false alarms due to slight thawing of the product.
A multi-product memory stores machine parameters for one hundred products to provide rapid product changeover, whilst the Quick Learn facility allows automatic product changeover without interrupting production.
All machine set-up and product characteristics are stored in non-volatile memory ensuring no loss of data during shutdown of power failure.
A comprehensive suite of data capture and analysis software provides real-time analysis and monitoring of the detection system and post-production quality assurance analysis and storage of system performance and inspection data.
Data can be exported to a PC for more detailed analysis and an integrated report generator provides an easy to use facility to prepare and print statistical reports.
The new S+S Genius Quattro metal detection technology will make a significant contribution to the reliability, accuracy and efficiency of metal detection in the food, chemical, pharmaceutical and plastics industries. Request a free brochure from S+S Inspection ...
