New metal detection system is compact and low cost

A S+S Inspection product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Jun 6, 2008

The new Ecoline-D metal detector from S+S Inspection has been designed specifically for use with existing conveyor systems where space is at a premium

The Sesotec GLS coil technology requires a very small metal free zone allowing the length of the unit to be kept to a minimum.

The open, hygienic and easily cleaned design is manufactured in welded stainless steel with a bead blasted finish to ensure a long life whilst meeting food industry IFS and GMP requirements.

Three standard conveyor widths, 200, 300 and 400 mm, combined with 300 mm aperture height, make the Ecoline-D suitable for a wide range of metal detection applications.

The conveyor belt can be changed easily and quickly by one person, without the use of tools, making a significant contribution to maximising machine up-time.

The standard unit is supplied with the Sesotec Sensity control unit, which is suitable for detecting ferrous and non-ferrous metals in most packaged and unpackaged products.

Where a more sophisticated detection capability is needed, the unit can be specified with the Genius or Primus control units using 2-channel signal evaluation to provide the highest sensitivity to all metals plus product effect compensation and auto-learn functions.

The Genius and Primus control units both incorporate self-monitoring facilities, password protected multi-product memory and a new EMC combi-filter to guard against electrical interference.

Careful value engineering at the design stage has resulted in a high specification metal detection system at a very competitive price.

The new Ecoline-D is available on a very competitive delivery lead-time.
