A new, inexpensive anti-spatter spray for welding, which is free of the health damaging chemical dichloromethane, has been introduced to the market by Stevens Industrial Services (SIS) In tests, SIS has found that the performance of TW Anti-Spatter exceeds similarly priced products that contain dichloromethane

By stopping spatter sticking and enabling fast, easy cleaning after welding, this product increases productivity for welders.

TW Anti-Spatter extends its environmental consciousness to its packaging, which uses compressed air.

Part of the SIS Spatter Control Programme, this safe option provides an excellent alternative to low-cost dichloromethane solvent-based and water-based products.

As specialists in weld spatter control, SIS has recognised the need for products, which are dichloromethane free.

This dangerous chemical has been proven to cause damage to the blood and the nervous system and its possible long-term effects include liver damage and cancer.

Many anti-spatter products on the market still contain dichloromethane.

TW Anti Spatter, which does not affect paint or other coatings, is derived from its stronger concentration sisters, Pre Weld and Clean Weld, already well received by industry.

"TW Anti-Spatter is an ideal solution for the health and safety conscious welder, who requires value for money," commented Graham Stevens, managing director of SIS.

"Spatter control is imperative but this product proves that it no longer needs to be a threat to health to be effective.".
