A new type of spatter shield, introduced by Stevens Industrial Services, protects against weld spatter encrustation and build-up, extending the life of welding nozzles and shrouds by up to five times

This new product, introduced to the market by Stevens Industrial Services (SIS), protects against weld spatter encrustation and build-up This effective coating will deliver substantial savings to the welding industry in terms of reduced part replacement costs and higher quality welds, due to better gas flow

The new White Spatter Shield welding torch dip uses dry film technology to produce a non-stick coating, which protects the equipment by preventing the build-up of spatter.

Unlike conventional tip dips, one coating of White Spatter-Shield, applied to shrouds, tips, nozzles or torches, can last for up to eight hours of welding.

This welding necessity is available as a spray, as well as a dip, so that it can also be used for the protection of jigs and tools.

A specialist in weld-spatter control, SIS has recognised several applications that benefit most from this new product, which include MIG and MAG torches, manual and robotic welding.

"Using White Spatter Shield can greatly reduce welding costs," commented Graham Stevens, managing director of SIS.

"It is the perfect and easy solution for shift-long protection for your welding torch".

This beneficial new product is grease and oil free, and safe to use.

It does not contain health-damaging chemicals, such as dichloromethane, unlike many other spatter control products.
