Lord Donoughue of Ashton is a new director of Strata Technology, the full service engineering company specialising in the design and installation of laboratory scale process equipment and pilot plant

Lord Donoughue of Ashton has become a non-executive director of Strata Technology, the full service engineering company specialising in the design and installation of laboratory scale process equipment and pilot plant A Minister in the first Blair Government and senior policy advisor to two previous Prime Ministers, Lord Donoughue was also a Director of stockbrokers Kleinwort Grieveson

He is currently a Visiting Professor of Government at the London School of Economics.

Strata Chairman, Dr Andrew Higgins, said "Bernard Donoughue brings a wealth of experience to our Board.

His political background and strategic vision will be of particular value to the company as we reposition and restructure our business to maximize opportunities in new markets and develop critical joint ventures.

His policy planning expertise will also prove invaluable as we continue to drive the business forward".

The company also recently appointed Steve Petridis as its new Chief Executive Officer.

A qualified engineer with substantial sales and marketing and general management experience he has worked in the USA, the Middle East, South Africa and Europe.
