A StrainSense product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Aug 1, 2007

The new Entran range of end user miniature sensor products from Measurement Specialties is now exclusively available in the UK from Northamptonshire-based StrainSense

The Entran range consists of force and pressure sensors, load cells, transducers and accelerometers, all ideally suited to the exacting needs of the research and test market, with many using state of the art MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical-Systems) technology.

Customers can select from seven types of bonded strain gauge vibration and acceleration products; nine series of miniature and sub-miniature pressure gauges; three high-performance pressure gauges; two industrial and severe pressure gauges; 10 types of load cells; a range of automotive/ vehicular/ blast pressure gauges; and a variety of electronic amplifiers, power supplies and digital sensor readouts.

The range is completed by the new EPRB series of high temperature pressure sensors.

The EPRB is a very compact IP67 stainless steel unit with amplified output and is aimed at the automotive test market initially.

Andrew Miller, Sales Manager for Measurement Specialties said "The appointment of StrainSense as our exclusive UK distributor relaunches the Entran brand within the UK and allows customers to access a wealth of technical knowledge alongside local service".

Anthony Cross, Managing Director of StrainSense, added: "We're delighted to have been chosen as Measurement Specialties' sole UK partner for these products.

This represents an excellent fit with our other strain gauge technology products for the R+D, test and measurement market place".

Established in 2002, StrainSense is the UK's leading solutions provider in the field of strain gauges, transducers, load cells and instrumentation.

The company is an approved distributor for major names such as Entran, NMB Minebea, Sensy, Hitec and Presens, and also manufactures its own bespoke high temperature strain gauges, force sensors, crane overload sensors and amplifiers for specialist applications.
