A new state of the art range of strain gauges, designed specifically for stress analysis, is now exclusively available in the UK from Northamptonshire-based StrainSense

The new encapsulated and leaded strain gauges have been developed by Japan-based gauge specialist NMB Minebea, for whom StrainSense is the sole UK distributor Gauge lengths of 0.2 - 8.0mm are available in a variety of configurations including stacked, double and triple rosettes, with either epoxy or polyimide coating

They are ideal for all research and test applications from aerospace and automotive to structure testing.

The new range of more than 50 gauges complements the existing NMB product line-up of transducer gauges which includes full-bridge patterns and modulus compensation resistors.

Manufacturing lead times of as little as four to five weeks from order are available through StrainSense who will also provide full product support.

Many gauge types are available from UK stock.

Anthony Cross, Managing Director of StrainSense, commented: "NMB Minebea products are widely recognised as delivering high levels of accuracy at a very competitive price, with ready availability.

"We anticipate significant interest in this new range of gauges for stress analysis, from a wide variety of sectors, where accurate analysis of stress is crucial to successful engineering and product development".

Established in 2002, StrainSense is the UK's leading solutions provider in the field of strain gauges, transducers, load cells and instrumentation.

The company is an approved distributor for major names such as Entran, NMB Minebea, Sensy, Hitec and Presens, and also manufactures its own bespoke high temperature strain gauges, force sensors, crane overload sensors and amplifiers for specialist applications.
