Bookings and pre-registrations take-off

Bookings and pre-registrations for the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Show have taken-off following news of the event relocation to a new site at Farnborough International Airport

Organiser European Trade and Exhibition Services (ETES) also reports strong support for the move from its long-standing exhibitors.

Phil Valentine, managing director of ETES, commented, "Enquiries about exhibiting at the show have risen noticeably following the announcement of the relocation to Farnborough, and the response from pre-booked exhibitors has been universally positive.

We are particularly delighted with the support we've received from our regular exhibitors, and genuinely excited by the opportunities for growth that the new site will give us".

After ten years at its former base at Thorpe Park in Surrey, the South's leading industrial and manufacturing exhibition announced last month that the 2008 event will move to a brand new site being developed by Farnborough International, organisers of the world-famous Farnborough Airshow.

The dates of the show, the 6th and 7th of February 2008, remain unchanged.

As well as 25% more floor space, the new Farnborough International Venue and Events (FIVE) facility offers numerous other benefits for visitors and exhibitors.

These are: Unlimited space for expansion and demonstration purposes, triple the amount of free car parking, superb access by road, rail or air, and an excellent selection of local hotels and restaurants.

Just some of the reasons that make Farnborough the ideal base for the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Show as it enters its second decade.

The improved facilities and additional space has allowed ETES to significantly expand its offering for 2008 with the addition of a new specialist autosport and aerospace engineering show to run alongside the Southern shows.

Auto Aero Farnborough 08 will provide the perfect opportunity for high performance engineering and technology suppliers to showcase products and services to the rich seam of autosport and aerospace specialists located along the M3 and M4 corridors.

Key product areas on display will include surface engineering and coatings, composites, low cost tooling, digital manufacture, engine components and assembly integration.
