The route to market for water monitoring products

A SWIG product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Nov 4, 2004

A workshop is planned to discuss the route to market for water industry measurement and monitoring products at Bretby on 9 November, sponsored by SWIG

Workshop: The route to market for measurement and monitoring products, to be held on 9th November, at the Bretby Conference Centre, nr Burton on Trent.

It seems as if the time for sensors and monitoring has finally arrived, particularly with the demands being made by recent European Directives.

However the market in the water and waste treatment industry is small in global terms and getting innovation to market is challenging.

This Workshop will be valuable to anyone involved in idea generation through to the marketing of commercial products that will have an application in processes that involve water.

Presentations will include.

* The trials and tribulations of developing equipment for the UK water industry.

* The technology is proven, the specification and price are established, the adrenaline is pumping - now what?.

* Funding technology development.

* Assessing and implementing new technology.

* Case study from concept to delivery (a long process).

In addition, breakout sessions will address issues such as the identification and communication of user needs, collaboration on development projects, and user validation of emerging technologies.

The cost of attending the Workshop is GBP60 inc VAT for members and GBP95 inc VAT for non-members.

Everyone is welcome.
