As a global supplier of robot systems, Staubli has an enlarged and expanding portfolio of both 4 and 6 axes robots: production of the SCARA robot arms has now been transferred to Staubli in France

Following the Staubli successful acquisition of the Bosch Rexroth robot activity in December 2004, production of the SCARA robot arms has now been transferred to the Staubli manufacturing base in Faverges, Haute-Savoie, France This is the latest move in the strategy announced in 2004 to become a global robot supplier through additions and extensions to its product range

In 2004, Staubli successfully launched a new robot generation, the TX series, setting new levels of performance, as well as a new compact CS8C controller, providing a very competitive and powerful package.

A range of heavy payload robots, the RX260 and RX270 series were also introduced with payload capability up to 220 kg and reach up to 3100 mm.

Since March 1st, all SCARA orders are being dealt with by Staubli, right from production through to invoicing.

The Staubli SCARA arms will be controlled by Staubli CS8 series controllers from mid year, meanwhile, they will continue to use the existing rho 4 series controller supplied by Bosch Rexroth.

The new range of SCARA SR robots complements perfectly the existing RX and TX six axis robot range known for their reliability, robustness and performance in terms of precision and speed.

Sales and customer service of SR, RX and TX robots are all handled through the Staubli established international network, providing the reassurance that service and support for existing installations will remain a priority.

With its newly enlarged and expanding portfolio of both 4 and 6 axes robots, Staubli has significantly supported its strategy to become a global player.

The range now includes robots from 1 to 220 kg payload and 400 to 3100 mm reach, all running on a single control platform.

This allows Staubli to offer an optimum solution across all industrial sectors, at a quality level and performance unmatched on the market.
