The SYJB045 is available in two forms.
Option 1 is a load cell junction box with the SY045 batch weight indicator circuitry - displaying the summation of the four load cell inputs.

Option 2 is a load cell junction box, with SY045 circuitry and the SY046 digitally tareable amplifier functionality.
Option 1 - SYJB045 is a high precision 4 load cell input unit with a 6 digit display to display load cell measurements.
In environments where high voltages or mains supply are a hazard the junction box can be used to remotely display local measurements of each individual load cell or all connected load cells.
The unit can accept 1 to 4 load cells linked together in parallel, displaying and outputting the total weight of the load cells connected.
Each of the load cells can be monitored individually by linking out the other load cells in the system.
This operation mode is extremely useful for load cell fault finding, and it is quick and easy since no other external circuits are included in the system, hence a faulty load cell can be linked out by using the on board switches.
Option 2 offers the features of option 1, but with the functionality of the Synectic SY046 digitally tareable amplifier.
If your circuit requires a 4-20mA signal, then this option is ideal.
The signal is fed through an amplifier, producing a 4-20mA output signal.
In this case a shunt test can be used to check the excitation and if at any time the amplifier is not required in the system it can be easily linked out and back in when required.
This indicator will display an amplified scaled down output.
This unit has the ability to tare off the measurements using a remote switch, enabling efficient measurement monitoring.
The SYJB045 provides a great deal of functionality, with fewer units for installation than is currently available elsewhere, therefore meaning cheaper installation costs.
The unit provides vital information that is normally not easily available to operators of a process system.
Finally, it provides engineers with a simple user friendly method of detecting faulty load cells in a system and a method of continuing operation even with the faulty load cell switched off.
All of these functions mean process systems can operate with the minimum amount of downtime.
