In addition to film materials up to 1.27 mm thick, the Model 8001 can measure oxygen permeation of plastic bottles, cans, containers, canisters, flexible pouches, and bags over a very wide measurement range of 0.008 to 432,000 cc/m2/day.
Rugged design and construction and extensive burn-in of components and final assemblies ensures high reliability and low maintenance in both research and industrial applications.
The control software, run on any Windows platform, uses tabbed primary screens, pop-up data fields and pull-down menus to provide an intuitive and interactive user interface.
Once set-up, test conditions, including purging, are controlled automatically to eliminate the risk of human error and minimise operator training.
Calibration can use both NIST traceable gases and films to provide versatility of film-to-film comparisons and ensure data accuracy under all conditions.
Sample preparation is exceptionally simple; a 50 cm diameter disk of the film to be tested is standard with adaptors available to accommodate smaller samples.
The Systech Model 8001 is equipped with two sample chambers and one instrument can control up to ten further test chambers.
The ability to simultaneously test up to twelve samples, with data tracking, storage and output capabilities, provides a very cost-effective solution to volume testing applications.
