Symyx webinar will highlight benefits of ELN

A Symyx Technologies product story
Edited by the Processingtalk editorial team Oct 27, 2009

Symyx Technologies is running a web seminar for synthetic and medicinal chemists that need to design and share synthesis plans, and IT managers supporting scientific informatics groups.

Challenges faced by synthetic and medicinal chemists and lab managers include documenting synthetic methodologies, consistently representing molecules and reactions, reporting and sharing experimental results, quickly and cost-effectively sourcing compounds, and co-ordinating workflows across geographic and business boundaries.

The free web seminar, to take place on 28 October 2009, is entitled 'How a Chemistry Electronic Notebook Can Take Your Reactions to the Next Step'.

It will demonstrate how electronic notebooks can improve personal productivity and the ability to share knowledge with other members of any organisation.

Participants will learn how to use an electronic laboratory notebook to: design single- and multi-step linear and convergent reaction plans; access online compound property data; plan and execute small-molecule library syntheses; search and find reaction plans, methods and protocols; and collaborate with colleagues on synthetic routes.
