The main reason for conducting this survey is to identify the current activities and attitudes about the hazard of Electrical Arc Flash.
TAS will be mailing the questionnaire to a database of 3,100 identified organisations during June 2008, and it is also available for completion on-line: see http://www.tas.co.uk/researcharcflash: should you not be on our mailing list please respond via the website.
There will be an impartial "Prize Draw" as an incentive to respond, conducted after the closing date, which is 20th of June 2008.
The incentive offered to the winner of the draw is a choice of either (a) a GBP250 donation to the Charity of participants choice or (b) a (hopefully non-hazardous) driving 'Experience' day at a UK racetrack.
Following the collation and analysis of the information from the survey, the main aim is to share the results and the best 'Good Practice' on electrical safety intelligence with the UK wide industry.
This will be achieved via:.
* White papers and articles submitted to industry publications - Sharing findings and identifying the proposed future 'Best Practice'.
* Presentations at conferences, seminars, industry association meetings, road shows and peer forums.
TAS Engineering has been providing Electrical Arc Flash Studies Services to several UK based organisations for over 10 years.
