A welcome for Government commitment to
innovation
The Technology Strategy Board is to play a key role in accelerating innovation for the benefit of business, and will publish an overall strategy document soon
Commenting on today's launch of the Science and Innovation White Paper, the Technology Strategy Board Chief Executive, Iain Gray, welcomed the Government plan to create an "Innovation Nation" and said that the Technology Strategy Board will play a key role in making this a reality "This White Paper presents an ambitious agenda, yet innovation is vital for the UK's future prosperity

Iain Gray also announced that the Technology Strategy Board will soon publish its 3-year strategic plan.
"When the new Technology Strategy Board was established in July 2007 we inherited a strong foundation of successful programmes supporting and promoting innovation.
We are now building on that foundation, and have new visions and ambitions.
Our goal is to make the UK a world leader in technology-enabled innovation and our strategic plan will help us over the coming years to reach that goal".
