Profibus training courses available
There are still a few places available on a first-come, first-served basis on the August training courses for Certified Profibus Installer + Engineer/Commissioning courses
The one-day Certified Installer course was introduced because most fieldbus system problems arise as a result of failure to observe elementary electrical disciplines in the installation process.
Certified Engineer Certified Installer 29 April 9 May 21 July 28 August 29 September 27 November 1 December The Certified Engineer course contains both theoretical and practical portions with supplemental training with multiple master devices.
These are scheduled for 29 April, 21 July, 29 September and 1 December.
Successful completion entails passing a written exam and a practical test to become a "Certified Profibus Engineer".
The Certified Installer course teaches the design, installation and testing of complete PROFIBUS networks including DP/FMS, PA and optical fibre technology.
These are scheduled for 9 May, 28 August, and 27 November.
Covering bus layout and termination, grounding rules and practices, the course will teach delegates how to avoid common, but potentially expensive, installation problems.
The course provides theoretical and practical training in PROFIBUS network technology using a hands-on approach.
The course finishes with multiple-choice and practical tests that ensure the competence of the trainees.
Successful candidates are awarded Certified PROFIBUS Installer status.
Recognising that this is a serious problem affecting not just Profibus but other fieldbuses too, Profibus UK courses help electrical engineers and plant technicians understand the techniques needed for successful fieldbus installation.
Due to the hands-on nature of these Courses, places are limited.
