Dennis has been involved in many Profibus projects and is also responsible for leading the emergency trouble shooting team sent out when end-users need immediate assistance with their Profibus applications! Andy and Dennis are most experienced and capable speakers, and will present two sets of training sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
A similar pattern will follow on 28 June, with the emphasis on Profinet.
Presentations will be given by Manfred Popp from Siemens, the author of the 1996 book "The Rapid Way to Profibus DP", and by Michael Hales, from the PROFI Interface centre in the USA.
Manfred will present "From Configuration to "Hello World" in 30 minutes", explaining how Profinet is set-up and operates in practice, from his extensive experience as head of ComDeC since 1991.
The abbreviation stands for Communication Development and Certification, and ComDeC is a Profibus and Profinet Competence Centre as well as a test laboratory.
Michael Hales from the USA will describe the Profinet Commander, a new tool for checking out a Profinet network.
Again, these presentations will be given twice, once in the morning and once in the afternoon, enabling delegates to create their own training programme by also attending some of the parallel "User" presentation lectures, or to have further discussions with the suppliers in the associated equipment Exhibition.
The Profibus International User Conference is from 27-28 June at Coombe Abbey in Warwickshire.
Registration forms, Hotel information, full timetables for both the Conference user presentation and training streams, and further background information is available on the Profibus UK website.
