Regular Profibus training courses have
places free
There are still a few places available on some of the upcoming Profibus training courses and seminars organised in collaboration with the Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU)
There are still a few places available on a first-come, first-served basis on the following Profibus training courses and seminars in the next few months: (1) 'Practical Aspects of Profibus PA in Process' seminar, Manchester 6th March and Murrayfield, Edinburgh 18th March: (2) Certified Profinet Engineer course, Manchester 12-14th May: (3) Basic PLC Programming Course, Manchester 26-27 Feb * The Practical Aspects of Profibus PA in Process - in Manchester on the 6th March and Edinburgh on the 18th March - addresses the key practical issues arising from the use of digital fieldbus communications technologies in process and hybrid industries

Profibus training schedule for 2006
Mainly at Manchester Metropolitan University, the Profibus courses for the first half of 2006 cover a range of user needs from system planning and design to installation, commissioning and maintenance
Covering the use of Profibus PA in key application areas such as pulp and paper, chemical, utilities, pharmaceutical, oil and gas today, it focuses on the practical aspects of using Profibus in process industry applications from system design and hazardous area considerations through to maintenance and fault-finding.
Supported by live demonstrations of actual tools used in calibration and maintenance, the programme will be of great value to Instrument Technicians/Engineers, C+I Engineers and System Engineers involved in design, operation and maintenance of modern process plant.
This seminar offers a free of charge introduction to the use, benefits and experience with Profibus in several industries.
* The Certified Profinet Engineer Course, from 12 -14 May 08, provides a detailed technical knowledge of the Profinet technology and the advantages it offers your automation and production processes.
At the end of the training there will be a theory exam.
Participants who pass get the title Certified Profinet Engineer and are awarded an official certificate.
Successful participants will have the confidence to evaluate Profinet as a solution for their automation requirements and be able to design a proper application - for full details of the course content please check the website.
The basic cost is GBP1300+vat.
* Basic PLC Programming Course from 26-27 Feb (Also available on-site for up to 8 people): This is a new two-day course designed for those with no previous programming experience.
It covers basic ladder and function block programming and leads on to the Certified Open-PLC Engineer Course.
The cost for this two day course is GBP530+vat.
