Conference plans for the Profibus and Profinet User Conference 2009 are progressing well with more than 75 per cent of the exhibition space now booked.

Exhibitors will include ABB, BEKA Associates, Burkert Fluid Control Systems, Endress and Hauser, Hiport, Manchester Metropolitan University, Pepperl and Fuchs, Procentec, Siemens AandD, Siemens Process Instruments, Wago and Watson Marlow.

The event will take place at Stratford Manor, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, 16-17 June 2009.

The two-day conference features application-oriented technical sessions and hands-on workshops presented by technology experts and experienced users and systems builders drawn from a wide variety of application areas.

New to 2009 will be the 'B for Beginners' track featuring a number of presentations and workshops specially developed for beginners.

These will be clearly indicated with a 'B' on the programme.

There will also be a 'Multi-Vendor Challenge', a special workshop session in which a number of suppliers will install their products into a network that will be assembled live in front of the audience, showing how each component is connected up and configured.

The event is aimed at anyone involved in, or thinking about, fieldbus, intelligent instrumentation and actuation, networked control systems applications.

Supported by live demonstrations of actual tools used in calibration and maintenance, the programme will be of value to instrument technicians/engineers, CandI engineers and system engineers.

A Certificate of Attendance will be issued to all delegates to add to their professional training records.
