Now available from Testo Ltd are a new range of infrared thermometers - the testo 830 series.

The testo 830 range are low cost, high-specification infrared thermometers, suitable for a wide range of applications, such as temperature measurement on live surfaces, rotating objects, at difficult-to-access points and in the food industry.

The instruments feature a new pistol grip design, for easier handling and distance measurement.

There are 2 instruments in the range: the testo 830-T1 gives 1-point laser sighting, and the testo 830-T2 offers 2-point laser sighting plus connection for external probes.

Both instruments share the following features: Instantaneous temperature readings; Laser sighting; Adjustable alarm limits; Audible and visual alarm if limits are exceeded; Easy handling due to the ergonomic pistol grip design; Backlit display; Adjustable emissivity factor (0.2 to 1.0).

In addition, the testo 830-T2 offers: Exact 2-point sighting; accurate 12:1 lens to allow efficient measurement over long distances; connection for external probes; determination of emissivity level.
