The Proteomics suite of solutions includes a highly effective strategy for the identification and validation of protein biomarkers that may indicate the presence of a specific disease.
At the core of Proteomics are three of the most advanced Thermo mass spectrometers - The Finnigan LTQ for ultra-high sensitivity and extraordinary protein identification, the Finnigan LTQ FT hybrid mass spectrometer for high-resolution and accurate mass determination of proteins and their modifications, and the Finnigan vMALDI LTQ for automated high-throughput gel spot analysis.
Thermo's leadership in protein analysis software is further strengthened by Proteomics with the addition of two powerful new products, SEQUEST Sorcerer and ProSight PTM.
SEQUEST Sorcerer is an exciting new product that accelerates protein database searching up to 50-fold so that search times are greatly reduced and researchers get their results fast.
ProSight PTM is a dedicated software package for top-down protein sequencing.
Combining this with the Finnigan LTQ FT creates the perfect solution for top-down analysis of proteins.
Speakers from both industry and academia will share their expertise in three different technical workshops during ABRF, including topics such as Label-Free Quantitative Proteomics, New Approaches to Top-Down Protein Analysis, and The Latest Techniques in Informatics for Massive Parallel Searching using a Novel SEQUEST Accelerator.
