Process laboratory automation seminars

Thermo Electron has scheduled two free seminars for LIMS users and prospective customers in Sweden and Norway, to show how LIMS can enable improved productivity and quality in the process industry

Thermo Electron Corporation, world leader in analytical instrumentation and laboratory informatics solutions, has scheduled two free seminars for LIMS users and prospective customers in Sweden and Norway The seminars will take place on December 5th, 2006, at the Elite Park Avenue Hotel in Goteborg, Sweden, and on December 7th, 2006, at the Radisson SAS Hotel Norge in Bergen, Norway

The seminars focus on how advances in laboratory automation, using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), can act as a key enabler for improved productivity and quality in the process industry.

This comprehensive seminar has been designed to provide attendees with the opportunity to meet and discuss the current challenges facing the process industry and exchange best practices on how these challenges can be addressed using a LIMS solution.

Real-life examples of world-class organizations will be presented in order to demonstrate how reliable LIMS solutions can substantially enhance productivity in the laboratory and reduce costs, ultimately improving the company competitiveness in the global market.

The seminars will provide the chance to understand how LIMS solutions can accelerate analytical cycles and improve quality of data by eliminating manual entry of instrument results, thus avoiding transcription errors.

Attendees will also understand the benefits of integrating off-line data from the laboratory with on-line data from Process Information Management Systems (PIMS) and financial/accounting data from Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, thereby creating a unified solution to speed generation of certificates of analysis and reduce product to market release time.

Furthermore, highlighted in the seminars will be tools for improving laboratory processes and optimising resource allocation through activity based costing techniques, key performance indicators and scorecarding techniques.

Additionally, expert trainers at Thermo have organised a live demonstration of the Thermo SampleManager, the world's market leading process laboratory automation solution.

Thermo will host the seminars jointly with PlantVision, a leading solutions provider for laboratory informatics and manufacturing execution solutions in Scandinavia.

PlantVision is also the distributor and system integrator for Thermo Informatics LIMS products. Request a free brochure from Thermo Fisher Scientific (Informatics) ...
