The new 18-page brochure provides scientists with key applications in trace compound analysis in sports doping as well as environmental contract laboratories and governmental authorities monitoring food, feedstuff and environmental compartments with a complete guide to this new technology.
The brochure provides a detailed description of the Thermo DFS mass spectrometer and its operation, highlighting unique characteristics and benefits to the end user.
The DFS offers the highest sensitivity at the lowest limits of quantitation (LOQs) and highest sample throughput resulting in ease of use and low cost of ownership.
In addition, the instrument features a novel design, leading to a compact footprint for reduced laboratory space.
The analytical data produced by the DFS provides irrefutable evidence of the occurrence and quantity of a certain substance in a sample (for example a dioxin or steroid).
Due to the high resolution capability of the DFS, this data is proof for the existence of an illicit substance and thus can be used as a certificate of evidence in court.
The new brochure uses two real life applications to demonstrate the unprecedented target compound performance of the instrument.
In the first application, the DFS was used to monitor various pesticides and herbicides from multiple chemical compound classes, showing excellent sensitivity and quantitative linearity over a wide concentration range.
In the second application, the new DFS was the reference instrument for the analysis on Polybrominated Diphenylethers and Polychlorinated Dioxins and Furans (PCDD/F), delivering reliable results on the lowest detection levels ever achieved.
