Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science, introduces a new line of silica-based TurboFlow columns designed exclusively for use with Thermo Scientific Transcend Systems

The columns provide scientists in clinical research and pharmaceutical analysis the capability to integrate online sample preparation with LC-MS analysis The TurboFlow XL columns - a new line of Thermo Scientific columns incorporating patented TurboFlow technology - enable researchers to reduce sample preparation time and minimise ion suppression, while providing faster analysis and more confident data

The expanded breadth of the new TurboFlow XL columns will provide a greater selection of column chemistries and tools for developing TurboFlow technology methods.

TurboFlow XL columns are available in a variety of chemistries - including C18, C8, Fluoro, Phenyl and C2 - and in dimensions of 0.5 and 1.0 mm, which are ideally suited for online sample preparation methods.

Additionally, TurboFlow XL columns are compatible with the Thermo Scientific Aria TLX Systems, which use turbulent flow chromatography to separate analytes from biological fluids prior to LC-MS analysis.

TurboFlow technology assists pharmaceutical researchers in reducing matrix effects by retaining small molecules, excluding proteins and larger materials by diffusion, size exclusion and column chemistry.

This enables users to directly inject biological samples into the LC-MS/MS system for analysis, a significant advantage in discovery, development, and clinical research, where extensive sample preparation of large numbers of samples is time-consuming and costly.
