Practical Vacuum incorporating Semiconductor Processing will have a distinct international feel when it returns to the NEC, Birmingham on 16th and 17th February 2005.
As the UK's only exhibition dedicated to the vacuum and semiconductor industries, Practical Vacuum has become the 'must-see' event for all aspects of vacuum technology and so is an ideal platform for international companies involved in this sphere to present their products and services to the UK audience.
The international exhibitors will come from across the globe: Finland, France, the USA, Liechtenstein and Germany to present a wealth of new products including.
DCA Instruments OY from Finland (stand E60) who are newcomers to the 2005 show and specialise in the design and manufacture of UHV thin film process systems and components.
They will be launching their DCA clustertool platform based production MBE system for III-V- and silicon epitaxy.
Huttinger Elektronik of Germany (stand E3) who will be exhibiting their DC plasma power supply SCALO, the most compact 30-kilowatt DC plasma power supply unit on the market.
Equipped with a new type of arc management system and having very little stored energy, SCALO allows superior film characteristics at high deposition rates.
And also new for 2005 are Provac AG from Liechtenstein (stand E55), who will be featuring their new Taurion 800 fully automatic box coater which is their latest development in the field of Plasma Assisted PVD and is equipped with two electron beam sources and a filament source.
Since it's inception in 1999, Practical Vacuum - incorporating Semiconductor Processing has seen a growth in exhibiting companies by 66% and a staggering 465% increase in visitor numbers.
The event has evolved into THE definitive exhibition for the vacuum industry and attracts Research Directors, Senior and Middle Managers, Process and Technical Engineers, Test Engineers, R and D Scientists and Engineers and Vacuum Science Engineers.
These come from across a number of industries including: Aerospace, Automotive, CD/TV,Chemicals, Electronics, Food, Print, Telecommunications, Instruments, Manufacturing, Materials, Pharmaceuticals, Packaging, Power/Utilities, Government or Research Council.
The exhibition will once again be co-located with 8 other tightly focused events including Machine Building and Automation, Mtec - sensors, measurement and instrumentation (featuring Industrial Networks for Fieldbus and Open Systems), and new for 2005 'PneuMotion - air at work' an exhibition dedicated to the pneumatic and compressed air components and systems industry.
More than 6,000 visitors attended the 2-day events in 2004 and it is expected that the 2005 shows will not disappoint.
