MTEC - Sensors, Measurement and Instrumentation featuring Industrial Networks for Fieldbus and Open Systems returns to the NEC Birmingham on 16th and 17th February 2005.
The sensor, measurement and instrumentation industry thrives on technological innovation and is developing very rapidly.
It is vital for users to stay abreast of the latest product developments and therefore MTEC 2005 provides the solution.
It is the only UK show dedicated wholly to sensors, measurement and instrumentation.
At MTEC 2005 visitors will be able to see the following product categories.
Actuators - drives, pumps, switches, valves.
Analysers - data, gas, spectrum, thermal.
Calibrators - temperature, pressure, flow.
Components Connectivity.
Controls and Controllers - PLC's, telemetry, systems, timers Control Software and Systems.
Drives Data Acquisition - loggers, printers, recorders.
Test and Inspection - standards, test houses, NDT, environmental.
Industrial PCs and PLCs.
Industrial Networking - Bluetooth, Ethernet, bus systems, hardware.
Instrumentation - test, field, analytical, laboratory.
Intelligent Valves and Actuators.
Intrinsic Safety.
Quality Assurance - corrosion, hardness, materials, leaks.
Radio Networking and SCADA.
Signal Conditioning - amplifiers, filters, software, signal generators.
Soft PLC technology.
Sensors - contact and non-contact sensing for test, measurement, data acquisition.
Test and inspection - standards, test houses, NDT, environmental.
The 2005 show also sees the return of Industrial Networks for Fieldbus and Open Systems, which is a dedicated section of the event where visitors can compare and evaluate proprietary systems, open systems and the industrial use of Ethernet.
Both MTEC and Industrial Networks enjoy the support of numerous industry associations and societies who will be holding free seminars and presentations to enhance the visitor experience.
Industrial Networks is supported by the Profibus Group, the AS-I Expert Alliance and the Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society (ISA) who will be holding seminars at the event.
In turn MTEC will be supported by the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and the British Society of Strain Measurement (BSSM) who will also be holding seminars over the two days.
The exhibition also benefits from co-location with the following eight other tightly focussed events.
Machine Building and Automation.
IPOT - image processing and optical technology.
Machine Vision - the UK's leading vision event.
Practical Vacuum - incorporating Semiconductor Processing.
EID - electronic information displays.
Pneu-Motion - Air at work (a new area for 2005).
3C - contamination, control and cleanroom products.
MDT - medical device technology.
More than 6,000 visitors attended the 2-day event in 2004 and it is expected that the 2005 shows will not disappoint.
The exhibitors too find MTEC a great place to hear the views of their current and potential customers.
"This is the best show of its type in the UK", said Peter Jefferson, Sales Manager at Contemporary Controls, after the 2004 Exhibition.
