Trident Exhibitions is pleased to announce that leading industry journals 'Design, Products and Applications' and 'the Engineer' will be supporting the Drives and Motion Control Systems exhibition

Trident Exhibitions is pleased to announce that leading industry journals Design, Products and Applications (DP and A) and the Engineer will be supporting Drives and Motion Control Systems, the exciting new addition to the Trident highly successful range of co-located exhibitions taking place at the NEC, Birmingham, 15 -16 February 2006 With leading titles such as DP and A and The Engineer committed to supporting both the new DMCS show and the other co-located February events at the NEC, Trident is able to benefit from their knowledge and experience of the industry

They will also be able to advise on suitable topics and focus areas for workshops and seminars as well as offer excellent opportunities for promoting the events to their focused yet extensive readership.

The Engineer Key account Manager Matt Swift commented, "The Engineer look forward very much to working with Trident over the months ahead on both their new Drives and Motion Control Systems event and their other established exhibitions at the NEC".

This was echoed by the DP and A Group Deputy Publisher Andrew Quenault, who stated, "Trident's new Drives and Motion Control Systems event is an ideal addition to their co-located exhibitions at the NEC and DPA and the associated IML journals are pleased to support what we are sure will be a very worthwhile show for all involved" Drives and Motion Control Systems will occupy space alongside several well-established and tightly focused existing exhibitions, also benefiting from the support of The Engineer and the IML publications including DP and A and Control Engineering Europe.

These include Machine Building and Automation and Mtec: Sensors, Measurement and Instrumentation, which already attract visitors with an interest in motors and drives; robotics; pneumatics; sensors; gears, brakes and clutches; valves; fieldbuses; and test and measurement.

In addition to these there are 6 other tightly focused manufacturing events Industrial Networks for Fieldbus and Open Systems.

PneuMotion - air at work.

Machine Vision.

IPOT - Imaging, Photonics and Optical Technology.

Displays Technology.

Practical Vacuum and Semiconductor Processing.

These exhibitions appeal to visitors because of their synergy.

Research shows that engineers and buyers can justify their visit because they can see a range of relevant products.

They can seek to solve their entire project and application needs in just one outing, yet visiting two, three or even four specialist shows, all under one roof.

The 2005 shows were very successful for all involved and saw over 6,600 attendees visit halls 11 and 12 of the NEC - an 11% increase on 2004.

With the addition of Drives and Motion Control Systems the 2006 shows look to increase further on this success.
