'Post mix' syrup dispense monitoring
Titan Enterprises has developed a low-cost battery powered totalising flowmeter for monitoring the quantities of 'Post Mix' syrups used in bar or cellar dispense systems
Titan Enterprises specializes in the manufacture of flow sensors for monitoring soft drinks, beer and other beverage blending and dispensing systems The new Titan Metra-Sum totaliser unit for monitoring 'Post Mix' syrups is now in production, and batches are being delivered to major suppliers of syrups and bar blending systems

Monitoring valuable liquid dispensing
An innovative engineering firm in Dorset has perfected a monitor for beer flow that combines a low-cost pints totaliser with sophisticated security features to detect tampering.
The main function of this unit is to provide a separate independent record of the total quantity of the different syrups that are delivered to the dispensing post, for bar management and dispense machine monitoring.
The Titan Metra-Sum unit uses a positive displacement flowmeter, an Oval Gear meter, which gives good measurement accuracy even when used on viscous fluids: a wide flow range, from 0.15 to 4 Litres/min: and is unaffected by external factors such as line size, configuration, pressure and temperature.
With a 6 digit totaliser, the display shows the volume of syrup dispensed, in litres, enabling the supplier to monitor the total syrup usage in that supply line.
Standard units are fitted with half inch John Guest push-in fittings, but male threads are also available for the flow line connections: the Metra-Sum unit uses a food grade polyethersulphone moulded plastic body with food grade silicon seals.
Other materials in the rotating oval gears are approved for food use, these are constructed from PEEK: PTFE encapsulated magnets drive the externally mounted battery powered flow totaliser.
Further models in the range are planned, such as battery powered units providing both flow rate and total, and with electronic outputs for remote monitoring. Request a free brochure from Titan Enterprises ...
