Light weight and accurate flowmeter
applications
Titan Enterprises has designed some light weight oval gear flowmeters: one is used for monitoring hydraulic fluids at the end of a robot arm, another to monitor sulphite hand spraying in a vineyard
To monitor hydraulic oil flow to a miniature press tool on the end of a robot arm, the meter needed to be light and able to withstand 2G shock, 10,000 times a day Titan used their OG2 meter, an oval gear positive displacement unit, providing a pulse output over a flow range of from 0.03 to 4.0 litre per minute, using oval gears in PEEK and a lightweight aluminium cast body

Flowmeters for OEM applications
Titan Enterprises specialises in the design of low-cost flowmeters for OEM applications
The whole unit was less than 100 grammes in weight, as required for use on a fast moving robot arm, but it was still capable of measuring oil flow to better than 0.5%!.
Another similar positive displacement meter has been designed using a thin walled stainless steel body construction, for use on hand-held portable equipment.
This second application has been used to ensure accurate sulphite dosing systems in vineyards, which help control wine fermentation, using a simple battery powered totaliser reading.
Similar systems have been supplied for medical dosing applications. Request a free brochure from Titan Enterprises ...
