Visual flow check with an accurate meter
Oval gear flowmeters from Titan Enterprises, typically used for accurate measurement of non-conductive fuels and oils, viscous liquids and lubricating fluids, are now available with transparent lids
Suitable for even viscous fluids and oils, these units have a wide flow range with linearity and accuracy as good as 0.25%: integral Metra-flo battery or DC powered electronic display units provide flow rate indication, totalisation and batch control signals.
Special versions of these OG meters offer PEEK moulded housings, where totally non-metallic construction is required, and also, for an additional visual indication of flow, the unit can be supplied with a transparent acrylic top to the housing, allowing the operator to see the rotation of the gears, in relatively clear liquid flows, allowing a simple flow check.
Titan are specialists in the design of cost-effective sensors manufactured from engineering plastics, such as turbine meters, mini-turbines and Pelton wheel flowmeters in PVDF, polyacetal or polysulfone, producing economical flow measurement solutions.
These sensors are often supplied for beer and vending machine monitoring systems, and for OEM skid applications.
The smaller units are ideal for low flow monitoring, providing flow alarms, or can be supplied with micro-processor based battery operated units for an independent rate and total display.
Totally non-metallic units are frequently applied to the monitoring of ultra-pure water, using optical sensors to measure the turbine rotation: typical flow ranges for a 0.5inch BSP unit are between 0.03 and 6.5 litres/min.
The mini-turbine flowmeters are also available with stainless steel bodies.
The Titan FT2 turbine meter has a PPS plastic moulded body, fitted with line connections to suit the application: these are available in brass, stainless steel, PVDF or even PVC.
Operating over flow ranges within 0.01 to 160L/min, the FT2 is suitable for use on line sizes from 0.25 to 1inch.
Titan can supply these units fitted with special thread connections or custom designed fittings for easy installation in any machine or system.
Custom engineered flow measurement systems are regularly designed for special applications, for example in monitoring the total beer or soft drink quantities dispensed, to report into bar and vending management systems, or systems for monitoring the supply of diesel fuel to steam boilers and heating systems.
