Automatic monitoring and targeting (aM+T) equipment offers an all-round approach to energy management as it can remotely monitor, record and analyse all aspects of plant and equipment energy use
In addition, to the standard online t-mac software packages, t-mac Technologies has designed a custom Energy Showcasing dashboard, which presents each of the outlet's energy results in a way that allows the city Council to effectively and efficiently evaluate and target its energy use.
The main feature of the Dashboard is the ability to showcase the information, in a touch-screen format, on the Council's One-Stop-Shop kiosks, ultimately enabling the people of Liverpool to play an active role in the Council drive for Energy Efficiency.
One of the key factors of the Council Energy Showcasing Dashboard was to be able to display the A-G energy ratings for each building live and online, providing a real time Energy Perfomance Certificate.

Using methodology, as per the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, the live A-G rating displays change on a monthly basis, in accordance with changes to each One Stop Shop activities and hence improved energy consumption.
The Energy Showcasing Dashboard works interactively and over the internet by presenting live and historic energy data over three main pages: the first shows a map of the city with sites positioned on the map, the second page highlights a breakdown of the sites live and historic energy data, and the third page shows benchmarking data and summaries of the best and worst performing sites.
Commenting on the t-mac system and the Energy Showcasing Dashboard software, Liverpool City Council Energy Manager, Brendan Purcell said: "The Energy Showcasing Dashboard was selected as the perfect interface for public awareness and information transferring live utility data into meaningful and useful information and most importantly enabling Liverpool to meet upcoming legislation.
The Dashboard also helps on-site staff to answer key questions - are we being energy efficient? Where's our energy wastage coming from? Are we on target? It is very important for such front-line sites to be able to showcase their energy saving efforts to their stakeholders and the people of Liverpool via a touch-screen dashboard in the One Stop Shops foyer".
The Energy Showcasing Dashboard will also be a key tool in enabling the Council to meet impending Display Energy Certificate (DEC) legislation, due to come into effect from April 2008.
This legislation will affect all public buildings where the occupier is a public authority, with a total useful floor area over 1000m.
The certificate is required to show the energy performance of each building annually, based on actual energy consumed and give an indication of how a building is being managed and how well energy use is being controlled.
The DEC must then be displayed in a prominent place clearly visible to the public.
Lisa Wilkinson, Business Development Director, from t-mac Technologies said: "We are delighted to have teamed up with Liverpool City Council on this energy saving drive.
The Energy Showcasing Dashboard will be an important system for them, it gives not only an overall view of how the Council is taking control of its energy use but shows how it is actively aiming to reduce carbon emissions.
The timing is also key, it is now that local authorities must act to ensure annual energy information is available by April 2008 in order to meet the DEC legislation.
The Energy Showcasing Dashboard is a system that we are extremely proud of and one that ticks every box for the public sector, as it shows a commitment not only to the environment but also to the community".
