A new range of precision positive displacement flowmeters offer a high level of accuracy and repeatability for flowrate measurement in liquid flow monitoring and control applications

These latest additions to the Trimec range of flow control products are designed to be used with a wide a range of liquids of all viscosities including oils, lubricants, chemicals, food bases, solvents and of course non-conductive fluids either pumped, or gravity fed Among the key features and benefits of these flowmeters is high accuracy of +/- 0.5% of reading, outstanding repeatability, typically +/- 0.03%, and no requirement for flow conditioning, (i.e no straight pipe runs required)

Also, the use of tough, durable materials for key components, for example stainless steel rotors and ceramic bearings, ensures long-life and reliable performance in a wide range of process control applications.

The flowmeters are offered in three basic sizes and capacities.

Micropulse in 4, 6 and 8mm connection sizes, for monitoring small flows ranging from 0.5 up to 550 litres/hr, Multipulse in 25 and 50mm connection sizes for flows ranging from 10 up to 450 litres/min and Maxipulse Gear, for larger capacities with 80 and 100mm connections and suitable for large flows from 50 up to 1500 litres/min.

ATEX certified intrinsically safe and explosion-proof models are also available, as are quadrature pulse output and bi-directional flow options.

The meters can be selected on the basis of flow range, pressure, temperature, material compatibility and functionality.

For example, aluminium meters are ideal for flow control applications involving petroleum products such as fuels, oils and greases, while the stainless steel meters are suited to chemicals, water based products, also food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.

All three versions are available as blind meters with pulse output or with integral or remote totalisers, flow rate displays or as pre-set batch controllers.

Maxipulse Gear meters are ideal for bio-diesels and petroleum derivatives, such as oils, grease and fuel oils.
