Robot catalogue provides snapshot of UK
market
TM Robotics has launched a new brochure containing case studies and application information to help manufacturers understand the potential for robots in different industry sectors
In light of a recent BARA statement on the failure of UK manufacturing to fully exploit robotic technology, TM Robotics has launched a new brochure containing case studies and application information to help manufacturers understand the potential for robots in different industry sectors The brochure launch follows the 2003 report from the UN Economic Commission for Europe and the International Federation of Robotics

The report announced that robot orders had increased by 26 percent worldwide in the first half of 2003.
Despite the BARA disappointment, the UK still lags behind several other countries in terms of robots per head in the manufacturing industry.
"The case studies in the catalogue provide a snapshot of the UK robot market," said Nigel Smith, managing director of TM Robotics.
"I would lend my voice to that of BARA in hoping that UK Government will encourage manufacturers to invest further in robotics in the UK.
In order to progress, UK manufacturing must constantly take advantage of the most advanced automation technology".
As well as case studies, the brochure also features the entire TM Robotics range of Toshiba Machine SCARA and Cartesian robots.
These are supported by details of additional features and options available for the robots.
The features include ceiling mounting and clean room SCARA robots as well as belt axis and clean room Cartesian robots.
Also featured is the Toshiba Machine range of TS series controllers featuring built in PLCs.
