The next Top Control workshops will be held in beautiful Portland Maine, in early June 2007: these will cover PID Loop Tuning and Process Control Basics for Non-Specialists

Join our New England workshops from June 5-7th 2007 in beautiful Portland Maine.

On the 5 June course LT-110-1 is PID Loop Tuning.

The objective of this workshop is to learn how to tune simple loops with simple methods (by hand) and recognize faulty loops.

Anyone involved in diagnosing control-related problems or responsible for increasing loop performance should attend.

On 6-7th June, a 2 day course PC-600-2 gives an 'Introduction to Instrumentation and Process Control', providing the process control basics for non-specialists.

A summary of the objectives are to:.

* Acquire an overview of process control systems.

* Develop important concepts like: open and closed loops, feedback, PID controllers, transmitters, pneumatic valves, performance, controller modes, etc.

* Distinguish the role and functions of equipment.

* Set industrial process control in a plant context.

* Enumerate different goals for a control loop and identify the main goal for some loops.

* Enumerate advantages of cascade and feedforward control.

* Recognize faulty loops.

Who Should attend: Anyone concerned with the performance of processes: managers, supervisors, superintendents, production managers, engineers.

You will leave the course with an appreciation of the importance of process control and the new tools available to achieve objectives of today and meet the challenges of tomorrow.
