Webinar on tuning cascade loops in normal mode

Top Control is to hold a free webinar on 9 February 2010 at 10:00 to explain how to tune cascade loops simultaneously in normal mode using new tools and methods.

Viewers will see how to set up both loops in Tai Ji and how to conduct simple, fast tests while the plant is running.

These tests will have minimal to no impact on production, according to the company.

Using the new methods, users can follow these three steps: with both loops in normal mode (the primary loop in automatic and the secondary loop in cascade), make a few small changes in the primary loop setpoint; model and simultaneously calculate new tuning for both the primary and secondary loops; and input the new tuning for both loops.

The webinar will also answer questions relating to: moving the primary loop setpoint; automating the testing; tuning issues; and valve problems in the secondary loop.
