Total Processing and Packaging 2004, the new integrated exhibition for the processing and packaging sectors, features a major display and conference dedicated to the latest heat exchanger technology

Total Processing and Packaging 2004, the new integrated international exhibition for the processing and packaging sectors, will feature a major display and conference dedicated to the latest heat exchanger technology Total Processing and Packaging has teamed up with Technology Transfer Management to give heat exchanger technology an especially high profile at the exhibition

Two initiatives will combine to address the thermal processing technology needs of the oil, gas, petrochemical, chemical, food and beverage and pharmaceutical industries in Europe.

The first will be the 4th European Thermal Sciences Conference, which will be held as part of the Total conference programme.

To be held over three days, from 29th to the 31st March, the conference will provide a forum for academics, researchers and engineers to meet and exchange ideas and expertise regarding the design and use of heat transfer equipment.

"The 4th European Thermal Sciences Conference will cover a wide range of topics connected with the design and optimisation of heat transfer technology," says Kulwinder El-Fanichi, Conference Co-ordinator, Technology Transfer Management.

"The conference will be of interest to anyone involved in the specification, design and use of heat transfer equipment throughout industry, such as plant operators, design engineers, energy specialists and researchers".

The second initiative, Heat Exchange Engineering 2004, will be a dedicated event within Total which will feature the latest products and services on offer from the leading heat exchanger equipment manufacturers and service providers.

The inclusion of the 4th European Thermal Sciences Conference within Total forms part of the aim of addressing the issues that are most important to visitors.

As part of this approach, Total has signed up leading industry associations, which will lend their support to the show.

Names currently signed up include the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), the Instrumentation, Systems and Automation Society (ISA), the Institute of Packaging (IOP), the Institute of Packaging Professionals, the Processing and Packaging Machinery Association (PPMA), the British Pump Manufacturers Association (BPMA) and the British Plastics Federation (BPF).
