Positive outlook following PPMA show

The success of the 2006 PPMA Show has generated strong support for Total Processing and Packaging 2007, which will take place at the NEC from the 15 - 18 May next year

The processing companies confirming their participation at next year's exhibition included Multiplicity, Pharmatech, Optimal, Korsch and Morton Machine Co.
Visitor research at the PPMA Show revealed that there is likely to be a strong buying culture in evidence at Total Processing and Packaging.
60% of visitors indicated that they intended to make a capital investment within the next 12 months of which 16% said it would be over GBP500,000, 9% between GBP250,000 and GBP500,000, and 21% between GBP50,000 and GBP250,000.
Visitor spending power was also reflected in exhibitor feedback from the PPMA Show, with many praising the excellent number of quality leads generated.
Brian Bannister, UK Sales Manager, Marlin Stainless, said the company participation had resulted in "some of the best sales leads we have ever received", while Geoff Philips, UK Sales Manager, Jacob White (Packaging) commented that "the level and quality of enquiries received has surpassed our expectations".
Schubert said it had received "a large number of quality enquiries from food, pharmaceutical, healthcare, cosmetics and confectionery sectors", and first time exhibitor Easypack reported that visitor response had been "exceptional".
Kevin Matthews, Marketing Manager, Jenrick Recruitment Group remarked that the show had enabled the company "to reach decision makers from a very specific market" and had "already demonstrated a clear return on investment for Jenrick Engineering".
"The mood of the PPMA Show was extremely upbeat," comments Ian Crawford, Exhibition Director for the PPMA Show and Total Processing and Packaging 2007: "Exhibitors reported strong enquiry levels and several sales and orders were secured during the exhibition.
And the indication of healthy capital investment during 2007 bodes well for a successful Total Processing and Packaging 2007".
