Electrode welding units with resonant intelligence: the innovative series of TransPocket machines are thrusting forward into brand-new welding territory, with a regulated output characteristic

From zero all the way up to full load, the output characteristic is now regulated by "resonant intelligence" Fronius is putting an intelligent tool into the hands of the welder

The resonant intelligence automatically ensures the ideal characteristic and therefore produces a soft, stable arc at all times.

By making welding "stick with the characteristic", the system delivers superior results.

Four machine variants make up the new standard for MMA welding units: TransPocket 1100 and 1500, and the "RC" and "TIG" models.

Instead of the classic inverter, they all share resonant intelligence.

This reads and processes the information coming from the arc in real time and uses it to regulate an ideal characteristic.

So ideal, in fact, that even Vertical-down welding of 4 mm CEL electrodes is possible - despite the fact that they were previously thought to be unweldable with such small machines!, Anti-stick, Hot-Start, arc force control, generator compatibility, thermostat-controlled fan, over-temperature indication and protection and continuously adjustable welding power are some of the other features that these machines have in common.

The different machine variants come with different extra features.

All "1500" units are equipped with contact ignition for the TIG process.

This uses a microprocessor to control a gas solenoid valve on start-up and arc ignition and gives the welder pre-gas on contact with the workpiece with no trigger.

Here too, digital electronics come to the welder's aid, helping him to get the optimum welding result more easily, reliably and faster.

Other special features include "TIG Comfort Stop (TCS)", which stops the arc breaking at the end of the weld in TIG welding, ensuring less defects at the end craters, and "TIG Pulse" for better control of the weld-pool in out-of-position work and gap-bridging.

The four machines are designed for a maximum welding current of up to 150 Amps.

Another feature unique to Fronius worth mentioning, is the fact that the duty cycle is quoted for an ambient temperature of 400C!.
